New Campaign: Rediscovering Beethoven's Piano Concerto Op. 61a

Picture this: Beethoven's esteemed Piano Concerto in D major Op. 61a, poised for resurrection in February 2024. The mantle of leadership in this endeavour falls upon me, as I grace the original 1806 Broadwood fortepiano, meticulously restored under the skillful hands of Paul Kobald! Led by fortepianist Anders Muskens and violinist Rachael Beesley, and joined by a formidable ensemble of 24 historical instrument specialists, encompassing strings, winds, and percussion, Das Neue Mannheimer Orchester embarks on a quest to redefine Beethoven. Immerse yourself in the romantic aesthetic as we experiment with 19th-century orchestral performance practices, endeavoring to breathe new life into this iconic concerto.

However, permit me to impart additional news of significance. We extend an invitation for your participation in this musical odyssey. Enlist in our campaign, and not only shall you gain exclusive access to the recording, but you may also secure an esteemed invitation to our live open rehearsal in the Netherlands. Our campaign unveils an array of distinguished rewards for our esteemed backers, with your support pivotal in ensuring the comprehensive success of this ambitious project. Let us collectively dismantle the barriers surrounding classical music, etching our mark in history as we revive Beethoven's concerto for the discerning ears of a contemporary audience.

Kindly peruse our campaign for detailed information, and let us, together, orchestrate musical excellence!
